Master studies are 1:1 recreations of other artist's works (though in some cases I did add my own touches or tried recreating the art in another medium). The purpose of this is to learn the techniques used by masters of the craft, as well as training the skill of observationThese are all drawn without tracing. The only exception is if I'm really struggling with something, I'll trace it with asperate sheet and then redraw it again freehand (this last part is key)Doing studies like this has been one of my primary way of learning to draw
